Privacy Policy for Wordy
Last updated: 29 May 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how ACKPlus Solutions ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use Wordy, our word-search game for Android and iOS.
If you have any questions, contact us at contact@ackplus.com.
1. The Short Version
- You can play Wordy as a guest without an account. In guest mode your progress and settings stay on your device and are not uploaded.
- If you sign in (Google or Apple), we store a small profile and your scores so leaderboards and ranking work across devices.
- Wordy shows ads (Google AdMob, with Unity Ads as a mediation partner) and uses Google Firebase for analytics and crash reporting.
- In the EEA, UK, and Switzerland we ask for your consent for personalized ads through Google's consent platform. On iOS we show Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can change these choices at any time.
- Wordy has no in-app purchases and is not directed at children under 13.
- You can delete your account and data from inside the app at any time.
2. Information We Collect
a. Account information (only if you sign in)
- Display name, email address, and profile photo URL provided by Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple.
- A unique account identifier (user ID).
Guests do not have an account, and none of the above is collected for them.
b. Game progress and scores
- Completed levels, best score per level, time taken, and daily-challenge progress.
- Score records (score, time taken, words found, the day's puzzle key, and the related user ID) — uploaded only when you are signed in, so they can appear on leaderboards.
c. Device and technical information
- OS version, device model, app version, language/locale, and screen size.
- For signed-in and guest users alike, our ad and analytics providers may receive device identifiers, IP address, and coarse (approximate, IP-based) location for fraud prevention and ad delivery.
d. Usage and diagnostics
- Anonymous or pseudonymous usage events (for example: app open, screen views, puzzle started, puzzle completed, sign-in). Where you are signed in, these analytics may be associated with your account identifier.
- Crash reports (stack traces and device state) via Firebase Crashlytics.
e. Advertising identifier
- The Android Advertising ID (AAID) or Apple Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA), used to deliver and measure ads — subject to your consent and ATT choice (see Section 4).
f. Feedback you send us
- If you use the in-app "Send feedback" option, your email app opens pre-filled with your message plus a diagnostic block (app version, OS version, device model, locale, timestamp). The email is sent from your own email account to contact@ackplus.com only if you choose to send it.
g. On-device only (not transmitted to us)
- App settings, sound/haptics preferences, in-progress saved games, your consent choices, and reminder settings are stored locally on your device.
What Wordy does NOT collect: contact lists, photos, microphone audio, camera frames, precise GPS location, calendar data, SMS, call logs, or payment information.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To run the game and save your progress.
- To provide accounts, profiles, and leaderboards (signed-in users).
- To show and measure ads, and to limit how often certain ads appear.
- To understand usage and improve the game (analytics).
- To detect crashes and fix bugs (crash reporting).
- To respond to your feedback and support requests.
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or invalid ad traffic.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We rely on your consent (for personalized ads where required), the performance of our service (to run the game and accounts), and our legitimate interests (security, analytics, and improvement) as legal bases where applicable.
4. Advertising, Consent, and Your Choices
Ad formats. Wordy shows a banner ad on the game screen and an optional rewarded ad that you can choose to watch in exchange for a hint. Rewarded ads are always opt-in.
Ad networks. Ads are served through Google AdMob (Google LLC), with Unity Ads (Unity Technologies) enabled as an AdMob mediation partner. These partners may receive your advertising identifier, IP address, device information, and ad-interaction data to serve and measure ads. Additional mediation partners may be added in future and disclosed here.
Consent in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland. Before serving personalized ads to users in these regions, we present a consent message using Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP), a Google-certified consent management platform. If you do not consent, you will receive non-personalized ads or no ads. You can change your choice at any time via Settings → Privacy → Privacy choices in the app.
Apple App Tracking Transparency (iOS). On iOS we show Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you do not allow tracking, the IDFA is not used and you will receive non-personalized ads.
Managing the advertising identifier.
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads (reset or delete your Advertising ID).
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Analytics and crash reporting. We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC). You can limit ad personalization using the controls above; analytics is used to improve the app and is not sold.
App configuration. The app contacts our server at apps.ackbiz.com to check for app updates and to read remote ad settings (on/off and test/live mode). These requests include only your app's package name, platform, and version — no personal information.
5. How We Share Data
We do not sell your personal information.
We share information with the third-party service providers that power the app, each acting under its own privacy policy. The provider, what we use it for, and the data involved are:

- Google LLC — Cloud Firestore (profiles and leaderboards): your profile and scores, for signed-in users.
- Google LLC — Firebase Analytics (usage analytics): usage events, device information, and identifiers.
- Google LLC — Firebase Crashlytics (crash reporting): crash logs and device state.
- Google LLC — Google AdMob (ads): advertising ID, IP address, device information, and ad-interaction events.
- Unity Technologies — Unity Ads (ad mediation): advertising ID, device information, and ad-interaction events.
- Apple Inc. — Sign in with Apple (sign-in): your name and email, or Apple's private relay email.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and service.

7. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live — including the EU/EEA, UK, California (CCPA/CPRA), and India — you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate data;
- Delete your data;
- Object to or restrict certain processing;
- Data portability;
- Withdraw consent (including for personalized ads); and
- Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (note: we do not sell personal information).
To exercise these rights, contact chetan@ackplus.com. We will respond within 30 days. You can also delete your account directly in the app (see Section 9 below) and manage ad consent via Settings → Privacy.
California residents have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising their privacy rights.
8. Children's Privacy
Wordy is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Ad requests are not tagged for child-directed treatment. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account or provided personal information, contact us at chetan@ackplus.com and we will delete it after verification.
9. Account and Data Deletion
You can delete your account at any time: Profile → Account → Delete account. This permanently deletes your profile document and the score and leaderboard records linked to your user ID, and signs you out. Deletion usually completes within seconds. Guest data lives only on your device and is removed when you clear the app's data or uninstall it.
10. Security
We use industry-standard measures, and the security provided by Google Firebase and our service providers, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data and limit access to it.
11. International Data Transfers
We and our service providers (including Google and Unity) may process and store data on servers located outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide notice in the app. Continued use of Wordy after an update means you accept the revised policy.
