Summary in one line
Kheti Hisab keeps all your farm records on your phone. We do not collect, sell, or share your personal or financial data.
1. What we collect
On your device (not sent to us):
- Crops, seasons, income entries, expense entries, notes, buyer/vendor names, quantities, photos and any other content you add.
- App preferences (language, theme, season start month).
This information is stored only inside the app's private database (SQLite) on your device. We have no access to it.
Sent off your device — only the following:
- Anonymous crash reports, sent to Sentry (sentry.io) when the app crashes or hits an error. These reports include the device model, operating system version, app version, and a stack trace of the error. They do not include your crops, entries, photos, names, contacts, or any content you added.
We do not collect:
- Your name, phone number, email, or any account information (the app has no sign-up).
- Your location.
- Your contacts, calendar, SMS or call history.
- Advertising identifiers. The app shows no ads.
- Analytics about which screens you visit or which buttons you tap.
2. Permissions we request
- Photos / Camera (optional) — only used if you choose to add a photo to a crop. Photos stay on your device and are not uploaded anywhere.
- Storage / Files (optional) — only used when you tap "Export database" to save a backup file, or "Import database" to restore one. You choose the file and the location; the app does not access other files.
We never use the microphone. The Apple App Store version declares a microphone usage string only because the photo picker library bundles audio code; the app does not record audio.
3. Backup and restore
You can export your full database as a .db file from Settings → Backup. The exported file is created by you, on your device. What you do with it (share, store on Google Drive, send by email, etc.) is your choice and your responsibility. We do not see, receive, or process the file.
4. Children's privacy
Kheti Hisab is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
5. Data retention and deletion
Because all your data stays on your device, uninstalling the app deletes all of it. You can also wipe everything from inside the app via Settings → "Erase all data".
Crash reports stored by Sentry are retained per Sentry's standard retention policy (typically 30–90 days) and contain no personal data that could identify you.

7. Security
Your data lives in your phone's private app storage, which Android isolates from other apps. We recommend you also keep your phone protected with a screen lock.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, the new version will be published at the same URL with an updated "Last updated" date. Material changes will be highlighted in the app's release notes.
