This is a website-ready version of our privacy policy, formatted without tables for easy pasting into a web page. It is identical in substance to PRIVACY_POLICY.md.
Important. This document describes how BlockBaaz handles data as of the version above. It is not legal advice. Have a qualified lawyer in your jurisdiction review and adapt it before you publish, and update it whenever you change what data you collect or how you use it.
1. Who we are
BlockBaaz (the "Game") is published by ackbiz ("we", "us", "our"). You can reach us at contact@ackplus.com.
This policy explains what information the Game does and does not collect when you play, how that information is used, and the rights you have over it.
2. The short version
You can play BlockBaaz without creating an account. If you never sign in, your scores, streaks, coins, and power-ups stay on your device — they are not uploaded to us or anyone else.
The Game uses Google Firebase for analytics and crash reporting, and Google AdMob to show the optional rewarded ads you choose to watch. These run for all players.
Some features are optional and only collect data if you use them:
- Signing in with Google or Apple, to claim a permanent spot on the online leaderboard. This creates a public profile (display name, @username, avatar, country).
- Adding an avatar photo from your camera or photo library, which is uploaded to our cloud storage so it can appear next to your name.
- Sending feedback by email, which attaches basic device information to the message you send.
You can stop most data processing by not signing in, not watching ads, and resetting or limiting your advertising identifier in your device settings.
3. What we collect
3.1 Information stored only on your device (never sent to us)
If you do not sign in, the following stays on your device and is removed when you uninstall the Game:
- Game progress: high scores, daily-challenge attempts, current streak, weekly goals, missions.
- Inventory: coins and how many of each power-up you own.
- Settings: sound on/off, vibration on/off, colourblind palette, unlocked themes.
3.2 Analytics — Google Firebase Analytics (all players)
To understand how the Game is used and improve it, we use Firebase Analytics. It collects:
- A pseudonymous, app-generated instance identifier (not your name).
- Screen views and key in-game events (e.g. game start, game over, theme applied, magic item used, ad watched, level-up, achievement unlocked).
- Basic device and app metadata (device model, OS version, app version, language/region, coarse country).
Analytics data is processed by Google. We see it only in aggregate.
3.3 Crash reporting — Google Firebase Crashlytics (release builds)
To diagnose and fix bugs, release builds report crashes through Firebase Crashlytics. A crash report includes the device model, OS version, app version, and a stack trace. It does not contain your photos or the contents of your messages.
3.4 Online leaderboard & profile — only if you sign in
The Game offers an optional sign-in with Google or Apple so you can claim a permanent place on the global leaderboard. This is entirely your choice. If you never sign in, none of the data in this section is collected and no record about you is created in our cloud.
When you do sign in:
- Google / Apple share your account identifier with us, and may share your name and email address, through Firebase Authentication. (With Apple you can choose to hide your email.)
- We create a public profile in Cloud Firestore containing your display name, @username, chosen avatar, avatar photo URL (if you upload one), and country (derived from your device's region setting — not GPS).
- Your best scores for each mode are uploaded so they can appear on the leaderboard.
Your display name, username, avatar, country, and scores are publicly visible to other players on the leaderboard. Do not use a display name or username you don't want others to see.
3.5 Avatar photos — Google Firebase Storage (optional)
If you choose to set a profile photo, the Game asks for access to your camera or photo library to pick one image. That image is uploaded to Firebase Storage and linked to your profile so it can show next to your name. We only access the single photo you select — never your whole library.
3.6 Advertising — Google AdMob (when you watch a rewarded ad)
When — and only when — you choose to watch a rewarded ad, Google AdMob may collect:
- Your device's advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID, or IDFA on iOS).
- Approximate location derived from IP address.
- Basic device and OS metadata (device model, OS version, app version, network type).
- Whether you completed the ad.
In the EEA/UK, we show a Google-certified consent prompt (UMP) before serving personalised ads; on iOS we also show Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline, AdMob serves non-personalised ads instead.
3.7 Feedback emails (only if you send one)
If you use "Send Feedback", the Game opens your email app with a message you can review and edit. For support purposes it attaches a small diagnostic block: app version and build, OS version, device model, locale, and a timestamp. Nothing is sent unless you press send in your own email app.
3.8 What we do NOT collect
- Your precise GPS location.
- Your contacts, calendar, microphone, or files.
- Payment or financial information — the Game is free to play with no real-money in-app purchases.
- Health, biometric, or other special-category data.
3.9 Third-party services
We rely on the following service providers. Each processes data under its own privacy policy:

4. How we use information
- On-device game state — to provide the Game's core functionality (lawful basis: performance of the agreement with you).
- Analytics events — to understand usage and improve the Game (lawful basis: legitimate interest).
- Crash reports — to diagnose and fix bugs (lawful basis: legitimate interest).
- Sign-in name/email, profile, and scores — to run the optional online leaderboard you joined (lawful basis: your consent, given when you sign in).
- Avatar photo — to show your chosen picture on your profile (lawful basis: your consent, given when you upload it).
- AdMob ad-serving data — to serve the rewarded ads you opted into (lawful basis: your consent via the ad opt-in / UMP).
- Feedback diagnostic block — to respond to and reproduce your report (lawful basis: your consent, given when you send the email).
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone other than the providers named in section 3.9, only as needed to deliver the features you use.
5. Children's privacy
The Game is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information — for example by signing in to the leaderboard — contact us at contact@ackplus.com and we will delete the associated profile and work with our ad and analytics providers to remove related data.
6. Your rights and how to exercise them
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal information, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your local data-protection authority.
You can act on most of these directly:
- Don't sign in (or sign out) to avoid creating any cloud profile. Local data never leaves your device.
- Delete your account in the Game: go to Profile → Delete account. This removes your leaderboard profile, scores, and any uploaded avatar from our cloud. You can also email us at contact@ackplus.com with the subject "BlockBaaz — privacy request" if you need help.
- Control your advertising identifier in your device settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads on iOS or Android) — reset it or opt out of personalised ads at any time.
- Uninstall the Game to remove all locally-stored data.
We will respond to verified requests within fifteen (15) business days.
7. Data retention
- Local data on your device stays until you uninstall the Game.
- Leaderboard profile, scores, and avatar (signed-in users) are kept until you ask us to delete them or delete your account.
- Analytics data is retained per Google Firebase's documented retention windows.
- Crash reports are retained according to Firebase Crashlytics defaults (typically up to 90 days).
- AdMob data is retained according to Google's documented windows.
8. International transfers
We are based in India. Google (Firebase and AdMob) and Apple process data in regions and data centres of their choosing, typically including the United States and the European Union. Where data is transferred internationally, these providers offer safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms.
9. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information we handle. Specifically:
- all network requests are made over HTTPS;
- access to leaderboard profiles and avatars is governed by Firebase security rules so players can only modify their own data;
- crash, analytics, and authentication data are held in Google's secure systems.
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time — for example, if we add a feature that involves new data, or if a regulator clarifies what we need to disclose. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top, and if the changes are material we will post a notice inside the Game. Continued use after the changes take effect means you accept the new policy.
